PE from home

Below are some activities that you can do from home. The aim of these activities are that they are accessible for all children, regardless of available space, or equipment they may or may not have at home. Children should do at least 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity a day. Hopefully below will help you achieve this. For activities please look on this page. Remember even if we are in another national lock down, it is important where possible, to keep active and spend time outside in the fresh air.

Virtual School Games Challenge - Sport Birmingham

Every half term new virtual challenges are provided to us via our School Games Organiser. Some children in school have already completed some of these challenges, but they can also be completed by you at home. Click the Birmingham School Games Logo to find out how you access these challenges from home.

The daily mile is an initiative that encourages children to spend 15 minutes running or walking every day. We have just began this initiative at school, but due to the current restrictions in place, only key workers or children of critical workers are currently taking part in this initiative. Fortunately, before the Christmas break, our children were sent home with the Daily Mile Commonwealth Challenge resources. If you didn’t receive them you can download or open them, by clicking the Daily Mile logo above to take part in the Daily Mile Commonwealth Challenge. The Daily Mile can now take place from home. If you have any outdoor space you may wish to just simply run or walk for 15 minutes or you may even choose to do one of the activities found through the links above for 15 minutes. Please be aware if you are self isolating please make sure you only do these activities indoors.
