A huge shout out to Jamie-Lea for his work. We knew you could do it! Keep it up!

Another big thumbs up to Freddy for you absolutely amazing Roman poem yesterday! You performed it brilliantly!

We would like you to log in into virtual school every day to access the learning. It is crucial that we maintain a routine that is as close as possible to a normal school day. New learning will be available each weekday and we ask that you leave us a comment (questions or messages) you have for your teacher. These will be answered daily so don’t hesitate to comment should you need any support or just want to check-in. Any work that you do, remember to tweet it @hillstoneps.

Most importantly, make sure to stay safe! Have a great day!

Remember to sign in by saying ‘Hi’ in the comments box.

Good News!
We now have a place that you can send your work to us. When you finish a lesson, please take a photo of what you have done and submit it here. Please make sure your name is written clearly somewhere on the photo.

I can see that all the children who submitted work yesterday really understood bar charts well. You could show and interpret data by using the graphs well. Just make sure that when drawing a bar chart you use a ruler and some of the bars were quite difficult to see.

Today, we are going to be continuing to read and interpret graphs. You need to ensure that you are reading the scales accurately today as they are much harder to read than previous lesson. So take your time and look at them carefully. As always I will have videos on along the way to help you. Enjoy the lesson!

Any questions, just pop into the comment box and we will help you. Enjoy!

Guided Reading

There were some great scripts yesterday! I really enjoyed looking at how you built up a conversation between the three characters. Just make sure that you use a capital letter to start your sentences and end them with the correct punctuation. Even though it’s a script it still needs to be punctuated correctly.

Join me today for lesson 3 of guided reading this week. We are going to be using your dialogue scripts that you completed yesterday in this lesson. Watch the videos and complete the task for today.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the story!

Today’s story is Angelica Sprocket’s pocket’s. It’s a bit of a silly story, but it’s nice to let go and have a bit of fun when reading. So, I hope that you enjoy it.
