Short TED Talk Video: “The secret to giving great feedback ...

Yesterday, I really enjoyed looking at your expanded noun phrases that you used to add detail to your sentences. Two things to point out… You must make sure that if you use more than one adjective to describe something that there is a comma in between each one. For example; The huge, fierce waves crashed against the wooden, hollow boat.
Secondly try and use a selection of interesting adjectives, there are so many different words to use other than big. I really liked the adjectives fierce, huge, angry, hollow.

From shape poems to my favourite; adjective-noun poems. We will be writing them about the different oceans and using them as a way to show how wonderful they are. Enjoy.

I can see from yesterday’s work that was sent in that the children who completed the task understood how to use 1cm grid paper to find the perimeter of a shape. Remember my top tip- Use a highlighter or felt tip when counting the 1cm squares as this will help you to see which ones you have counted clearly.

Today, we will be continuing our work on finding the perimeter of different shapes. For today’s lesson you will need a ruler and the graph paper which you can download below.

Any questions, just pop into the comment box and we will help you. Enjoy!
