You came up with some wonderful ideas about what makes you happy. They were an absolute joy to read. Remember, to make your sentences sound more interesting to the reader, use expanded noun phrases to add that extra detail.

Today we will be writing a poem all about ‘Happiness’. We will be using our ideas from yesterday. Remember, we want each line to sound interesting, so make sure that you include adjectives for that extra detail.

Download the boards for today’s lesson and complete the task.

Feedback from yesterday’s lesson: You used your knowledge of cm and m to be able to accurately convert between the two. You even remembered your place holders for trickier questions. Well done.

Today, we are continuing to explore length. You will need to convert between centimetres and metres to solve the problems today. If you fancy a challenge, have a go at the Going Deeper task where you will have to convert to mm!

Any questions, just pop into the comment box and we will help you. Enjoy!

You used the new vocabulary well in your sentences today. You understood how the word changed to the past tense when the suffix -ed was added.

Listen to the story again. Today I would like you to have a go at reading the story like me. I am going to be listening out for great expression and seeing how well your reading flows. Take time to rehearse your performance. This is just like poetry. I would like you to send in videos of you reading (you can just record your voice if you’d prefer)
