Today we are going to be learning about food chains.

Where do you think our food comes from?

Watch the video on this page to find out.

Look at the food chain below.

Plants get their energy from the sun. Plants are eaten by insects. Insects are eaten by mice. And mice are eaten by owls.

What do you think the work producer means?

What do you think the word consumer means?

Next week, when we are back in school, we will be creating our own food chains. The activities below will help you prepare.

Try this quiz to see if you can guess what will come next in the food chains. Click here to try the quiz.

Try the fun food chain challenges below. There are 3 different habitats to try:

Savannah

Tundra

Woodland

Finally, try the quiz on this page here (scroll down to find it!) to see how much you have learned about food chains.

        1. No worries Tyler, we’ll be carrying on learning about food chains in our topic lesson next week! Well done for finishing your work.

  1. Miss Aluriya i am stuck on the question “people are mentioned in reletionship to leopards and elephants. What are the differences between these relationships

    1. So I would say something like ‘Leopards sometimes kill people in settlements. People are taking over elephants’ habitats and ivory poaching.’ Hope that helps
