Year 5 Monday 18th January

Good morning Year 5! Welcome to all 5U and 5K pupils. Thank you for coming on to virtual school today. We would like you to log into virtual school every day to access the learning. It is crucial that we maintain a routine that is as close as possible to a normal school day during the next two weeks. New learning will be available each weekday. Don’t hesitate to ask if you need any support or just want to check-in. Remember to tweet your work @hillstoneps. Today we will explore our own creative writing ideas.

Your Task

Choose one of the stories from the list above. This will be the story which you will work on this week to write.

I would like you to think about the questions which have been written and answer them. I would like you to write a summary of what will happen in your story. This is a good opportunity for you to explore different ideas for your story. It is up to you how creative you want to be!

  8. Mr Campbell I pressed on the video of u reading the story called birds but I pressed on it and then I kicked me off the whole hillstone website so I cant watch the video . Also, i have refreshed the page and it still dont work 🤔🤔

  11. Mr Campbell on writing one of the questions were when is sadkos birthday and I read through the whole story 3 times an if I’m correct it doesnt say when his birthday is

    1. In todays work there isn’t a question that asks about Sadko’s birthday (You don’t need to do last weeks work just read the story) but if you need a birthday date, just make one up.

    1. He’s just explaining what the task is (to choose one of the 3 versions of the story to plan tomorrow). Answer the questions for each of the 3 possible sections and choose the one you want to continue with.

  17. Hi so I’m stuck on writing because i have to pick a story but I wasnt able to read any of the stories and it says I have to answer questions about the story but I dont know a single thing about the story

    1. Hi Kadi if you go back to last weeks pages (Monday 11th January) you will see the story of Sadko and be able to read it there, then switch back to today’s pages.
