Good morning Year 6 and happy Monday.
Welcome to our virtual page. We would like you to log in every day to access your learning. As we are all isolating, we will maintain a routine which is as close as possible to a normal school day. New lessons will be uploaded every day and we are all available in the comments section should you require any support.
We hope you enjoy today’s lessons. Please stay safe.
From Miss Kinsman, Mrs Bridges and Mrs Gillett.
Today’s timetable.

9:00-9:15
Good morning. Please say hello in the comments section below so we can mark you in on our registers. Settle in to the day by reading some of the extracts from The Happy News (PDF below) before writing begins.

This issue was all about strength and I found this article really interesting, inspiring and comforting. I hope you do too.
9:15-10:15

Writing
Welcome to today’s writing lesson….or should I say lessons! Don’t worry: you only need to do one of them. Start watching the first video below and it will all become clear! And as you can see, they are both about Macbeth, which I know we have all been enjoying studying.
By the way, in the shared writing, I’ve realised that I say the word ‘ not’, but fail to write it down so keep an eye out for that – oops!
If you normally work with a teaching assistant at the start of writing, click on the document below to help you with today’s writing.
10:15-10:30

Enjoy a quick break.

Pause the video each time you are asked to complete a task and let me know how you are getting on in the comments section below. At the end of the video, you will have a longer task to complete, which you can then send to me for some feedback.
For certain tasks, you may need to use the documents below the video.
*In one of the model answers, I have spelt the word ‘introduced’ incorrectly. I apologise for this.
Miss Hodgkinson’s group: Complete the comprehension below and then read one of the books you were provided with on Friday, or click on the link below to choose a different text (make sure you select the correct colour!).

Topic
In topic today, you will be learning that there are two different sources of evidence you can use to learn about the past. They both help us build a picture about a time period or a specific historical event.
You will then re-cap your understanding of fact and opinion by researching statements about William Shakespeare.
Work through the lesson, click here, and complete sheet 1 and famous quotes when asked. Click here for the Horrible Histories link , if it doesn’t work on the lesson link.
Have fun!

From Katelyn 🙂
Hi Katelyn
Well done for not giving up. So, if you look at the denominator it has got to be a factor of 20. Which means it has to be 2, 4, 5 or 10. See which one works.
Miss Bridges I am going on: it’s story time. I think I’m going to enjoy it.
I really hope so Corey. I’d love to hear what you think after you’ve listened to the first part today.
