Today, we are going to adding and subtracting fractions. When subtracting we are going to be looking at the whole and seeing what fraction that would be, and then subtracting parts from it. When adding we will need to look at the denominator first (to see what our parts have been split into) and then we will be adding parts together. To do this, we will need to look at the numerator. One important thing to remember for the lesson today is that the denominator will NOT change when adding or subtracting. If you remember this, you cant go far wrong. There will be some video clips for you to watch to help you along the way.

Today I have set a fun Grinch coding challenge for you. If you complete all of the levels by making the correct algorithms (instructions) and get passed the last challenge make sure you get an adult at home to take a photo as evidence and send it to me so I can email you your very own Hour of Code certificate! Remember to get to the next level you have to complete each of the coding levels successfully. Have fun!
