Short TED Talk Video: “The secret to giving great feedback ...

Yesterday, I really enjoyed seeing how well you were sorting words into each word class. This has been a bit muddled up lately with some of us, so hopefully now, we are clear and can produce some fantastic work for the rest of the week. I had some great feedback from many of you saying that you really enjoyed the lesson from The Oak Academy, so that was great news. We have another lesson with them again this week.

Today we are going to start to explore a book called Flotsam. It is a picture book which means the story is told through illustrations instead of words. We will be doing lots of work around this story when you return to school in our English lessons. We will only be looking at the first few pages of the story together this week. Today there will be a video of the story illustrations for you to explore with me, followed by a lesson activity for you to complete. Before you start the lesson complete the 5 minute joined handwriting lesson warm up.

Short TED Talk Video: “The secret to giving great feedback ...

I can see from yesterday’s work that you understood how to convert between g and kg. You did this accurately as was then able to order each different mass. You worked hard yesterday and most of you solved the two step problem for the going deeper challenge. Well done!

Today, we will be continuing our work on mass. Today we will be looking at how to read scales to find out the weight of an object in grams. You will need to remember your counting in 10s knowledge for this lesson. If you fancy a challenge today, try the Going Deeper task where you will have to count up in 20s to read the scale accurately.

Any questions, just pop into the comment box and we will help you. Enjoy!
