For this week’s guided reading session, we’re looking at using the front cover and blurb to make predictions.

Follow the lesson below before you enjoy our story for this week ‘The Night Pirates’ and decide if your predictions were correct.

We often play these games in school and the children love to challenge themselves! Can they beat their previous score? Can they complete the game more quickly? Timers at the ready!

Select the multiplication games for x2 x5 and x 10

Adapt the task as you need to. The paper could be placed on the floor rather than stuck on the wall. You might also want to use higher numbers if your child needs to practise these as well as improve their reaction speed.
