Year 1 Week beginning 1st February 2021

Well done to Lana Latchford, our Hillstone Star this week!

Some wonderful work, Lana. You’re really giving everything your best.

We are so proud of how much progress you are making!

Please let us know you’re here by adding a comment at the bottom of the page.

Next week for our maths lessons, we will be looking at measuring length and height. We will be using a ruler and different objects to measure (for example, cubes or anything you have a few of in your home such as sweets, grapes, pieces of pasta etc.)

You do NOT need to have these things to join in with the lesson or the work. We will be providing different ways online and on the sheets to help if you do not have anything you can use.

However, we wanted to give some notice in case you wanted to find something you could use over the weekend (or dig out an old ruler from the back of a wardrobe somewhere!).

Mrs Chudleigh has sent you all a text with your Read Write Inc. group.

Watch and join in with all three videos (Sounds, Red Words and Spelling) for your RWI group.

Click here for the information you need to access Oxford Owl. You can choose a book at your RWI phonics level OR your book band level.

Click here for a range of ideas for questions you can ask your child about the text they are reading.

Your English lesson for today is drama! Click the picture of Bhav below to watch, and join in. Have fun!

For today’s mental wellbeing session, we’re going to look at the story ‘In My Heart’ by Jo Witek.

See if you can make your own book of your heart and feelings!
