Feedback from yesterday would be to remember that alliteration is a sentence that contains 2 or more words with the same starting letter. Some really good examples were;
Slippery, sharp toothed sharks, and,
Colourful, cool clownfish.

Feedback from yesterday’s lesson; Everyone who sent in their work understood parallel lines and how to identify these on different shapes and letters. Well done.
Just remember my top tip: using a coloured felt or highlighter to extend the lines will help you to see if they never meet at any point.

Today, we are going to be looking at how we can describe 2D shapes based on the angles and lines that they have. You will need to remember all the teaching on angles and lines for the next two lessons. If you can’t quite remember, not to worry, watch the recap video to start with before starting the lesson today. I have also included a recap photo for you to look at while you complete the tasks. Have your right angle tester ready as this will help you to see the different angles.

Any questions, just pop into the comment box and we will help you. Enjoy!

Short TED Talk Video: “The secret to giving great feedback ...

There were some great predictions yesterday. I wonder who will be correct today. Some children thought he could save the sea creatures by putting them all in his bathtub. Others thought that he would try to plug the sea back in. Let’s find out…

Today we are going to read to the end of the story. We are going to see if our prediction was correct and we will also find out the title of the book. I hope that you are as excited as I am! We will be looking at some new vocabulary today as well and creating sentences using it. Watch Mrs Edwards read the final part of the story below, then complete the task.

    1. Hi ocean an adverbial describes the verb- it tells us how someone does something he “ran quickly” Quickly is the adverbial. A lot of the time they end with LY. Alliteration is when you use words that start with the same letter, for example – “slimy, shining, scary sea creature.” I hope this helps

    1. Which part did you enjoy? How many parallel lines were there? Did you find any angles? What shape poem did you create? What are the 5 oceans? What vocabulary did you learn in Guided reading? What story did I upload for you today? Did you enjoy it?
