Stay safe and I’ll see you soon. Mr Bennett, Miss Thornton, Mrs Edwards.
Thank you for all of the great work yesterday. You all worked so hard! Here is a quick shout out to those of you who sent great work in. Well done to Gabriella, Hanniel, Freddy, Jorge, Lacey S, Ava W, Poppy, Zachary, Lilly-Mae, Riley and Georgina.
Don’t forget to send in all of your work to us and remember to put your name on so that we can give you a shout out tomorrow.
We would like you to log in into virtual school every day to access the learning. It is crucial that we maintain a routine that is as close as possible to a normal school day. New learning will be available each weekday and we ask that you leave us a comment (questions or messages) you have for your teacher. These will be answered daily so don’t hesitate to comment should you need any support or just want to check-in. Any work that you do, remember to tweet it @hillstoneps.
Most importantly, make sure to stay safe! Have a great day!
Remember to sign in by saying ‘Hi’ in the comments box.
Good News!
We now have a place that you can send your work to us. When you finish a lesson, please take a photo of what you have done and submit it here. Please make sure your name is written clearly somewhere on the photo.
We’re looking forward to seeing your work!

Thank you for the awesome posters from Lacey S, Poppy, Ava W, Riley and Freddy.
Today we will be writing about some of the wonderful images from the book. We will look at them together, create some sentences and then see what you create on your own. Enjoy and I can’t wait to see what you create! The images are below to view. You will write a short paragraph about the final images. Concentrate on creating quality sentences that flow together to create a story for each image.

Fantastic work in yesterday’s lesson everyone. You all have a good understanding of volume and all seemed to enjoy finding the volume of containers; Especially Ava W!
Today, we are continuing to look at measuring volume. The lesson today will explore both millilitres and litres and show you how many millilitres are in a litre. Watch the videos, work through the lesson with me and then download and complete today’s worksheet.
Any questions, just pop into the comment box and we will help you. Enjoy!

Guided Reading
Lots of great sentences were sent in yesterday using the new vocabulary that we explored. Thank you and well done.
Listen to the next part of the story ‘The Tale of a Toothbrush’ Once you have listened to it, have a read through it for yourselves too. Today we are going to be answering questions about what we have read in the story. When reading the questions, think carefully about what you are being asked to find out and look out for any important clues or words that will help you locate the answer in the text.
Download the lesson and complete the task.

ART
For our lesson today I would like you to take part in a recycling challenge. You can recycle lots of household items that are made of plastic or paper… My recycling bin gets full of recyclable things every week! I would like you to use these recyclable items to build a sculpture, model or create a collaged picture. It can be whatever you want it to be. You might want to collage a sea creature out of cut up plastic and cardboard. You might want to make a model of a house using boxes or maybe even a plastic bottle rocket! Be as imaginative and creative as you can. I can’t wait to see what you make for this challenge.
Its time to move! What could you do today to be active? You could go on a walk, go for a run, ride your bike or dance to your favourite song. If you are struggling for sometime fun to do, click here for one of coaches fun activities.
Sit back, relax and enjoy the story!
We hope that you enjoyed today’s lessons, we look forward to seeing all of your work. Have a relaxing evening and we will see you tomorrow.

We are unable to do the art yet, as our recycle bins went out Tuesday.
After lunch we will do P.E.
That’s fine Riley, we had been saving all of the materials in class but unfortunately we didn’t get chance to complete the art. If we have time next week we could maybe still fit it in.
