Please look at the whole page. We start with writing then maths. Moving onto guided reading then after lunch, Accelerated Reading, topic and PE. We will end the day with a story. All the lessons are there to keep you entertained and happy. This page is meant to help you and give you a little bit of Hillstone at home.

Yesterday there were some great little sentences you all seem to have a good understanding of the sentence types. Today we will be building on those to create a persuasive poster for Flotsam to hang in a bookshop window. Enjoy the lesson and I can’t wait to see your posters.

Yesterday, I noticed there were a number of you that got a little stuck on the division. CLICK HERE to see a short video about short division. If you aren’t sure about multiplication (for example you don’t know your 4’s) don’t forget you can always draw out the numbers using tens and ones and then add them together.

Today, we are going to start exploring another form of measurement together: volume. Volume is the measurement of liquid inside of a container. Watch the introduction video and work through the lesson with me. To finish the lesson, download and complete today’s worksheets. If you fancy a challenge then try the Going Deeper question.

Listen to the next part of the story ‘The Tale of a Toothbrush’ Once you have listened to it, have a read through it for yourselves too. We are going to explore some vocabulary found in the story and create our own sentence using that new vocabulary.

Today will be our last lesson on Hindu stories. So far we have explored the Creation Story and the story of Hanuman. This lesson’s story follows on really well from that of Hanuman as it is the story directly linked. Today we are focusing on the story of Rama and Sita.
