A huge shout out to Mason, Lily H, Riley, Ava W, Ellie A, Zachary, Freddy, Georgina, Freddy, Lacey R, Jorge and Poppy. These were just some of the children that completed some fantastic work yesterday!
We would like you to log in into virtual school every day to access the learning. It is crucial that we maintain a routine that is as close as possible to a normal school day. New learning will be available each weekday and we ask that you leave us a comment (questions or messages) you have for your teacher. These will be answered daily so don’t hesitate to comment should you need any support or just want to check-in. Any work that you do, remember to tweet it @hillstoneps.
Most importantly, make sure to stay safe! Have a great day!

Feedback from yesterday: I absolutely loved reading your poems yesterday. You included lots of adjectives and verbs in order to add detail to your writing and make it more interesting. There were some adjectives used though, that I think we could up-level. You could challenge yourself to use different ones and also include some adverbs.
Today we are going to be looking at your Happiness poems from yesterday. We are going to focus on how we can edit and improve our work which is one of our year 3 targets.
Before we start there will be a handwriting lesson for you to join in with. Have a lovely lesson!

Guided Reading
Feedback from yesterday: Thank you for all of the videos that you sent in. I loved watching them. Remember, to get that flow when reading, it is important to not ‘fred talk’ our words. By rehearsing the poem lots, and becoming more familiar with the words, your reading will flow much more easier. I loved how all of you tried really hard with your expression when reading. It was a joy to listen to.
In today’s lesson, we will discussing the effect of key words and phrases from the story. We will need to think about how they make us feel as a reader. Do these words paint a picture in our mind? Does it trigger a feeling from within? What does it make us think about when we read it? Are the feelings it gives us nice or uncomfortable?
Listen to me reading the story again
