Short TED Talk Video: “The secret to giving great feedback ...

Feedback from yesterday: I loved your poems. You followed the structure of the ‘I am a Roman Soldier’ poem brilliantly. The poems were wonderfully written and contained some great facts about Sir Captain Tom’s life. Moving forward, it is important to read through your work to check for errors with spelling and punctuation. There were a few key word errors that you could check with your key words sheet. There were also a few capital letters missing or in the wrong place.

Today we will enjoy our last poetry session with Bhav. But it’s a cracker. Click the image below to enjoy!

Feedback from yesterday: Great job on interpreting the graphs! You used the scale well to find the information accurately. Just remember to not rush through and to double check that you are looking at the right bar on the graph when gathering your information.

Today we will be looking at reading and interpreting bar graphs in more detail in order to answer questions. We will need to make sure that we are reading the scales correctly as they are increasing with difficulty now. The level of questioning is also increasing so make sure that you read each one carefully so that you fully understand what it is asking you to do. Then take your time to answers the questions in step. As always, there will be videos along the way to help you.

Any questions, just pop into the comment box and we will help you. Enjoy!

Watch the video below to find out what you will be doing.

Guided Reading (feedback only)

Short TED Talk Video: “The secret to giving great feedback ...

Feedback from yesterday: You thought carefully about what the characters might say in each scene and this linked in well with their relationship with one another. The next thing to add more detail to this, is to comment on how the characters would say it. E.g Would Dad speak in a stern voice? Would the boy sound annoyed? Does the girl sound a bit cheeky?

Computing

Today I thought that we could finish of this half term with a fun Hour of Code coding lesson! This one is a little bit different to the other coding games you have played. You will be building your own town by coding. How cool is that! Make sure that you read the instructions carefully, they tell you what to click, how to move around and what to do next. Once you get the hang of it you will know exactly what to do. Have fun exploring Coding Town!

Click above to take you to the Coding Town game.

Its time to move! What could you do today to be active? You could go on a walk, go for a run, ride your bike or dance to your favourite song. If you are struggling for sometime fun to do, click here for one of coaches fun activities.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the story today!

From Macavity the mystery cat to Solomon the cat. This is a brilliant little poem from Michael Rosen. Happy Friday year 3.
