We would like you to log in into virtual school every day to access the learning. It is crucial that we maintain a routine that is as close as possible to a normal school day. These will be answered daily so don’t hesitate to comment should you need any support or just want to check-in. Any work that you do, remember to tweet it @hillstoneps.

Most importantly, make sure to stay safe! Have a great day!

Good News!
We now have a place that you can send your work to us. When you finish a lesson, please take a photo of what you have done and submit it here. Please make sure your name is written clearly somewhere on the photo.

Short TED Talk Video: “The secret to giving great feedback ...

Feedback from yesterday would be to make sure that you proof read your work. You are including some fantastic ideas and your sentences are interesting to read, however, we are making simple errors with our punctuation. There were lot’s of capital letters at the start of sentences missing and also question marks missing for your rhetorical questions. You are using some great persuasive words and phrases, so keep that up.

Our poetry lesson is all about the great outdoors. Put on your walking boots and click the image below!

Short TED Talk Video: “The secret to giving great feedback ...

Feedback from yesterday is that you were identifying your right angles well. There were a few errors, especially when identifying acute angles. Remember to use your right angle checker. If, when lined up accurately, you CAN’T see the other straight line and it is underneath your checker, then it is smaller than a right angle so will be an acute angle. If you CAN see the other straight line then the angle is larger than a right angle so will be an obtuse angle.

Today, it’s our last lesson on angles (crying face). We have a special guest (or two) today to help us with the lesson (YAY!). The lesson is going to be completely practical to begin with. To send the work in to me today, you will need to film yourselves doing it and email it to me or upload it. There will be some video clips for you to watch to help you along the way.

Any questions, just pop into the comment box and we will help you. Enjoy!

Watch the video below to find out what you will be doing.

Explanation video 1

Click on the video clip of the Roman soldier for today’s lesson.

There will be instructions that you need to follow. Remember to find yourself a clear space in the room (or outside if your wifi works out there) before you start the task.

Welcome to the Roman Army. You are our latest recruits. You must follow ALL instructions during this drill. Stand straight, listen carefully and DON’T MESS UP! Remember to do the next move from where you ended last.

Record your Roman army drills and submit them here.

Make up your own drill for someone in your house to follow. You could even send them into us to have a go at. We might even film us doing it and upload it here one day next week, so keep your eyes peeled.

Guided Reading (feedback only)

Feedback from yesterday: You used the pictures well to search for clues to suggest what was similar and what was different in all three different time periods. Remember to always explain your findings in detail. E.g. The clothes were different. How were they different?
