All the lessons are there to keep you entertained and happy. This page is meant to help you and give you a little bit of Hillstone at home.

Thank you for taking part in The Oak Academy lesson yesterday. Feedback was that you enjoyed it and learnt a lot from it. From the work you sent me, I could see that you were could identify fronted adverbials and were beginning to use them correctly in your writing. Remember to think about these over the next couple of week and include them in your own writing.


Today we will be continuing to look at the story Flotsam. I will include the video of the story so far that we explored together on Tuesday. There will then be a lesson task board for you to work through with a writing task to complete. Before the lesson practice some joins with me in our handwriting practice session video!

Fantastic work in yesterday’s lesson everyone. You were accurately reading the scales and even challenged yourself to convert the mass into just grams.

Today, we are continuing to explore mass in kilograms and grams. We will be looking at word problems to do with mass in our lesson today. Work through the lesson with me and complete the tasks set.

Listen to the story ‘The Tale of a Toothbrush’ Once you have listened to it, have a read through it for yourselves too. Today we are going to be answering questions about what we have read in the story. When reading the questions, think carefully about what you are being asked to find out and look out for any important clues or words that will help you locate the answer in the text.

In our R.E lesson today we are continuing to look at Hindu stories. Today is the story of Hanuman. Read through the information and answer the questions. Question 5 asks you to draw Hanuman so I have included some pictures for you to download for inspiration.
