Thursday 11th March

Good news! We now have a place where you can send your work to us. When you finish a lesson, please take a photograph of it and submit by click on the ‘Super Work’ image below. Make sure your name is written on the work clearly. We look forward to seeing what you have done!

You will need to collect lots of 3D shapes from around your house for today’s lesson. We are going to be sorting these shapes into different groups based on their properties. Watch the video of Miss Langford to find out more.
Now watch this video to find some other ways that we can sort 3D shapes based on their properties. Stop the video at 10:45 as we are completing a different task.
We have learnt such a lot this morning! Your task is to place your 3D shapes into groups like you have seen on both videos. Label your groups and take photographs to upload to the cloud. If you would like an extra activity today, follow this link to download a worksheet. The answers are on the third and fourth sheets.

We suggest you do the activities for your RWI group, but there is nothing stopping you from accessing the other activities too.
PINK/ORANGE Speed sound reading and Speed sound spelling. + spelling activity below.
YELLOW Speed sound reading and Speed sound spelling. + spelling activity below .
BLUE/GREY Speed sound reading and Speed sound spelling. + spelling activity below .
OFF RWI You are going to be continuing with your dictionary work today. You can write on paper or in a book and the activity is within this video. Pause the video whenever you need to do the task. This should take between 30 and 40 minutes.
If you have a dictionary at home, take a look through it and see how it is set out. You might even want to try to find the definition (meaning) of a word.

ALL GROUPS . Keep up with the spellings of your key words. These are words that come up a lot in our reading, or we need to use them a lot when we are writing. Click here to access Spelling Frame.
In the table below you will see all our key word spellings and the lists for them. To access one of these lists , you just need to click on ‘Enter Word List Code’ and put in the appropriate code.
Lots of activities then load and the children can access all those with the FREE badge on them. YOU DO NOT NEED TO REGISTER OR SIGN IN.
