Click on Hip Hop Granny below and get moving to her funky beats to recap what we have learnt about position and direction.

Click on the video within the link to listen and join in with Hip Hop Granny’s song.

For today’s task, we’d like you to create your own treasure map to bring back into school. We’d also like you to write a set of directions to go with the treasure map, directing somebody to different treasure items on your map using the language we have developed over the last few days. You can challenge a family member with your directions, or bring them back to school for a teacher or friend to follow.

Click here to adapt yesterday’s pirate grid. There is space for you to write your directions.

Not a fan of pirates? That’s fine. Click here for a completely blank grid for you to adapt as you wish. See below for some ideas.

Spend 10 minutes on Times Table Rock Stars today.

These are the suggested activities for your RWI group, however, you can have a go at any of the activities listed below.

OFF RWI GROUP The Queen has a home in Scotland called Balmoral. If she wanted to spend time Nessie hunting, what advice would you give her? Watch the video below and I will take you through some steps for writing ‘Advice for Nessie Hunters’. If you want to print out a sheet with the sentence starters on it, you’ll find it here. This activity should take up to 40 minutes.

We now have our VIRTUAL LIBRARY page. Here you have access to a range of other texts to read. You can choose from fiction or non-fiction, but choose wisely from the selection and enjoy what you are reading!

Click here to see a range of ideas for questions you can ask your child about the text they are reading.

Click on the ‘Topic’ sign above for today’s topic lessons.

Today’s story is called ‘Grandma Bird’ by Benji Davies. Enjoy!

  1. Hi everyone,

I have had a lovely sketch of Nessie submitted but there is no name on it. If you think it is yours then please let me know so that I can send you a Marvellous Me badge.

          1. Sorry it failed half way through and I had no idea which pictures uploaded or not, so you may have some duplicates.
