We’ll be learning about position and direction this week. Do you know your left from right? Watch, and join in, with the video below for today’s lesson. This lesson should take around 40 minutes.

The game mentioned in the video is below. Play until you feel secure with the learning.

Click here for the worksheet in the video. The answers are on the third and fourth pages.

Spend 10 minutes on Times Table Rock Stars today. Click the link to the right to access the website.

We suggest you try the RWI activities listed below for your group. However, this does not stop you from trying any of the other activities too!

ALL GROUPS On Wednesday, in topic, you will be finding out a little bit about Scotland. One of Scotland’s most famous places is Loch Ness, and it has a VERY famous inhabitant living in its waters. Watch the video of the story ‘There’s No Such Thing As A Nessie’. I think you’ll really enjoy it!

OFF RWI Group Activity You are going to be doing a Likes/Dislikes/Puzzles and Patterns activity to go with the story today. Watch the instruction video for ideas. You can print out a sheet here, or write it straight out onto a piece of paper.

Instead of a spelling activity, please practise your handwriting. This is the join u to e. There are two videos for you to watch and practise and they include spelling words containing the sound ue. If you have time do both video activities, but don’t worry if you only manage one. This should take 15 minutes.

  1. I have sent Isla’s maths and Nessie work to you. I have also sent her finished beach picture from yesterday. Isla did well with the maths today, the 2nd set of instructions she found tricky until she used a Lego person to actually step into the map, she then found the quarter turns/anti and clockwise etc easier to navigate using the Lego person to practice.

    1. Hi there! That’s absolutely fine. Please don’t put too much pressure on yourselves – we know how hard neve works. Feel better soon!

  3. Is Mia meant to play a game? The one that looks like itโ€™s a beach? There isnโ€™t a link to it and I wasnโ€™t sure. Thanks

    1. If you refresh your Virtual School page, the game will work now. The link was playing up this morning sorry – I’ve just updated it. So the game is there to play if she’d like to play it.
