Thursday 14th January
Good news! We now have a place where you can send your work to us. When you finish a lesson, please take a photograph of it and submit by click on the ‘Super Work’ image below. Make sure your name is written on the work clearly. We look forward to seeing what you have done!
Spend 10 minutes warming up your subtraction skills with the game to the left. Choose up to 20 to start with, working your way up to 100. Can you beat your own score?
Today, we will applying our subtraction skills to calculating change. Watch my video first; I’ll remind you how to use the column method to subtract. Then click on the toy shop and follow the activities in the video to explore a range of ways to find change.
Have a go at the worksheet here for some further practice calculating change.
Today we have another fact file about the Queen, but this one is in a real mess! We need your help to organise it and make it look much better. Watch the video for more help, then print, or copy the facts. If you are writing them out, you do not need to do them all, just choose the ones you think go together and interest you!
Watch the video for more help.
Activity – click here for the mixed up fact file sheets. Print them out if you can, but don’t worry if you can’t.
Carry on with your daily reading by choosing a book (at the right stage for your child) from the Oxford Owl library. This is the link to the information you need to access Oxford Owl. Once you are onto the website you can choose a book at your RWI phonics level OR from your book band level.
Click here to see a range of ideas for questions you can ask your child about the text they are reading.
Use this website to practise your spellings https://spellingframe.co.uk/
In the table below, you will see all our key word spellings and the lists for them. To access one of these lists, you just need to click on ‘ Enter Word List Code’ and enter the code.
